About Me

So you want to know more about me, eh? Understanding our current digital environment is what fires me up. I’m eternally curious about how humans are utilizing digital technology to communicate. Why do we click on links? What makes one tweet, digital story or Facebook post more enticing than the next? How can we create seamless digital experiences for our fellow humans? These are the thoughts that keep me awake at night itching to get back to work the next day.

I am left-brained with a mix of right. What does that mean? I’m a data nerd that you’ll often find behind a screen of pivot tables and MySQL databases. I believe data can make all the difference. Data informs every strategic decision I make and without data, I feel uninformed and, well… naked.

Much of my career has been in the healthcare and education sectors. I’m currently the Director of Digital Engagement at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. I oversee a widespan of digital engagement initiatives for the university. I’m also on the faculty in the University of Colorado Denver Department of Communication where I teach the next generation of digital marketers, an appointment I’ve held since 2014.

Digital Marketing Strategy

If you don’t have a strategy you don’t have anything at all. I’ve been crafting digital strategy for almost a decade. I believe in data-driven strategies that support an organization’s business objectives.

Digital Advertising

Digital marketing has matured over the past decade. I’ve implemented thousands of paid digital advertising campaigns totaling over $1 million in advertising spend; drastically increasing funnel conversion, event attendance and digital community growth on platforms like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Twitter Ads and more.

Digital Content Development

They say content is king. I’ve developed pieces of content by the thousands. Pfft, tens of thousands. Stories. Tweets. Videos. Articles. Facebook posts. It’s important to know what your audience craves and what inspires them to share your brand message. I use science-backed research to supercharge content strategy that focuses on human psychology.
